The Lord's
Prayer
Read:
Romans 8:25-28
Each
Sunday during our worship service we recite the Lord's Prayer. A
prayer most of us have said our entire life. A few months ago Pastor
Bob gave a sermon where he discussed yelling out each line of the
prayer, one at a time, and focusing on its meaning.
Well,
I haven't done that but I have tried to focus more closely on the
words each time I say it. It's a beautiful, perfect, simple prayer
that say says it all. Now, often when I am at a loss for the words to
pray I start with the Lord's Prayer.
Our
Father who art in Heaven.
hallowed
be thy name,
thy
kingdom come,
thy
will be done
on
Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give
us this day our daily bread;
and
forgive us out trespasses
as
we forgive those who trespass against us.
And
lead us not into temptation,
but
deliver us from evil,
For
thine is the kingdom,
and
the power,
and
the glory forever. Amen
